Sota327
Booked this today (7/13).St. Paul (Zone 11) was only desired win zone. 3.5* was only acceptable hotel rating as my husband didn't want the Kelly Inn (3.0*) as he needs the room for the bar exam which is at Roy Wilkins Auditorium, next to Xcel Center and he wanted to be able to walk. I was fairly cetain the Crowne Plaza would be the winning hotel as its the only reported 3.5* NYOP win and the only 3.5* hotel when searching regularly on priceline. I bid yesterday and the day before up to $55 with no luck. Today I decided I would go as high as $65 per night because at that rate for 2 nights its about the same price as one night booking outright and I didn't want to run the risk of waiting too long and avialability filling up. So, today I bid as follows:zone 11, bid $40 rejectedzone 11 + zone 1, bid $42 rejectedzone 11 + zone 1, + zone 3, bid $44 rejectedzone 11 + zone 1, + zone 3, + zone 4, bid $45 rejectedzone 11 + zone 1, + zone 3, + zone 4, + zone 5, bid $46 rejectedzone 11 + zone 1, + zone 3, + zone 4, + zone 5, + zone 8, bid $48 rejectedzone 11 + zone 1, + zone 3, + zone 4, + zone 5, + zone 8,+ zone 9, bid $50 rejectedzone 11 + zone 1, + zone 3, + zone 4, + zone 5, + zone 8,+ zone 9, + zone 11, bid $51 rejectedclosed browser and restarted new sessions via PRICELINE link on this forum (to give myself more rebid combos):zone 11 + zone 12, bid $52, rejectedzone 11 + zone 12, + zone 13, bid $53, rejectedzone 11 + zone 12, + zone 13, + zone 15, bid $54, rejectedzone 11 + zone 12, + zone 13, + zone 15, + zone 16, bid $55, rejectedzone 11 + zone 12, + zone 13, + zone 15, + zone 16, + zone 18, bid $56, rejectedzone 11 + zone 12, + zone 13, + zone 15, + zone 16, + zone 18, + zone 19, bid $57, rejectedzone 11 + zone 12, + zone 13, + zone 15, + zone 16, + zone 18, + zone 19, + zone 1, bid $58, rejectedzone 11 + zone 12, + zone 13, + zone 15, + zone 16, + zone 18, + zone 19, + zone 1, + zone 3, bid $59, rejectedzone 11 + zone 12, + zone 13, + zone 15, + zone 16, + zone 18, + zone 19, + zone 1, + zone 3, + zone 4, bid $60, rejectedzone 11 + zone 12, + zone 13, + zone 15, + zone 16, + zone 18, + zone 19, + zone 1, + zone 3, + zone 4, + zone 5, bid $61, rejectedzone 11 + zone 12, + zone 13, + zone 15, + zone 16, + zone 18, + zone 19, + zone 1, + zone 3, + zone 4, + zone 5, + zone 8, bid $62, rejectedzone 11 + zone 12, + zone 13, + zone 15, + zone 16, + zone 18, + zone 19, + zone 1, + zone 3, + zone 4, + zone 5, + zone 8, + zone 9, bid $63, ACCEPTEDFWIW, my last rebid combo before exhausting combos today would have been:zone 11 + zone 12, + zone 13, + zone 15, + zone 16, + zone 18, + zone 19, + zone 1, + zone 3, + zone 4, + zone 5, + zone 8, + zone 9, + zone 11 bid $65 There are 13 straight rebid zones for 3.5* in this area. By closing the browser and restarting halfway through my session, I was able to add 8 extra rebid combos (21 total) over simply adding one rebid zone (total of 13) in one session. I know there are other methods by which I could have created more combos (by closing the browser more requetly and breaking it up into more sessions), but this was all I needed for today's max at $65, starting at $40.Here are the details:Crowne Plaza Riverfront St. Paul 11 East Kellogg Boulevard, Saint Paul, MN 55101 651-292-1900 Check-In: Mon, Jul 23, 2012 / After 03:00 PMCheck-Out: Wed, Jul 25, 2012 / 12:00 PMRooms: 1 room / 2 nightsOffer Price: avg. per room, per night $63.00Rooms: 1Nights: 2 + Add nights for the same rate!Room Subtotal: $126.00Taxes & Fees: $26.92Total Charged to Card: $152.92Used PRICELINE link on this forum for all bids and searches.
