Gallus50 Posted July 17, 2012 Report Share Posted July 17, 2012 One thing to think about is that even if a property is beachfront, you may or may not be put in an oceanfront room. If they have rooms that face the boulevard or the island, so to speak, they could still put you there. They may even be more likely to put you in non-oceanfront if you have a discounted, ie Hotwire, rate. Sorry to be a buzz kill but the only way to be sure you have oceanfront is to find a property that is all oceanfront - with no rooms facing away or merely oceanview - or to use a non-opaque service and book an oceanfront room. You can always ask for a view, but it's up to their discretion. If they have the rooms empty, they will likely say yes if you are polite. But if they're not in the mood..... Link to comment
