Ac35rl Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 Hello everyone! I have a question pertaining 3 star hotels in coco beach seeing this is the highest they offer in this area. I am new to Priceline and would like to get a room this weekend. I see in the last month that someone has listed a 3 star LQ @55$ but this is listed as a 2 star with a consumer rating of 8+ and I stayed here last year and was not pleased. I don't really care to get a steal, but would like to stay at a nicer hotel. How do I go about getting a better place? Do I enter a higher price of the hotels I don't want? Please help thank you in advance
AaronJB Posted July 13, 2012 Report Posted July 13, 2012 Welcome to Betterbidding. With PRICELINE, if you bid for a particular star rating and zone, you have to be willing to accept *any* hotel at that star rating in that zone. If you try to bid higher than the hotels you don't want, you could easily end up overpaying for the hotel you are trying to avoid. What are your exact date/s of travel?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Ac35rl Posted July 13, 2012 Author Report Posted July 13, 2012 Thank you for your quick response. I am going tomorrow Friday the 13th. My only thing is they show the LQ I'm trying to avoid as a 2 star and with a consumer rating of 8.0(which is under the amenities garanteed). I think I saw some fine print that stated that the hotel may or may not be a different star on their site? Which is my only concern. I think I may try 55 on the 3 star and see where that gets me. The median price is 174 so not to sure where to come in at. This site is extremely helpful and will defiantly follow the links. Thanks again for your time.
