woodlandfairy Posted July 11, 2012 Report Posted July 11, 2012 Started at 70 and worked up in $5 increments. 40% off. Was hoping for a deeper discount, but still very pleased. Can't argue about any kind of discount! Price on priceline was originally $150.Before I got this deal I also tried bidding on the weekend 8/24-8/26. Started at $55 and worked up to $70 with no luck. This was not our preferred weekend so I didn't go further. Retail price $114.Used rebidding technique for 4* Hotels by adding Boulder, then Henderson, then NW Las Vegas, then Nellis.Had also tried 5* Las Vegas Strip North starting at $80 all the way up to $110 in $5 increments and had no luck. Also tried the weekend 8/24-8/26 with no luck. Retail price for the Wynn (cheapest North 5*) was $184 when I started bidding, went up to $194.At first I waited 24 hrs between attempts, but then today I used rebidding technique for 5* Hotels by adding Boulder, then Henderson, then NW Las Vegas, then Nellis, then Freemont (as of today there are 10 total rebid zones for 5*)From what I've seen in emails from priceline about recent winning bids, most people are getting 40% recently.
