up to $150 is worth trying for a 4* in these areas, but based upon rates (and the Fall traditionally becomes more expensive) I think a 4* is likely going to take much as $170-200. The 5* level is going to take significantly higher - probably a good deal over $300.

I think you're looking at $250-$270 for a 4* hotel and perhaps $200-$225 for a 3.5*.

Note that when bidding 3.5* and under in the MTE some hotels can be up to a 15 minute walk to the subway... this would need to be acceptable if you bid MTE at the 3.5* (or less) level.
