mber03755 Posted July 28, 2005 Report Posted July 28, 2005 Hi, been bidding for a month or so, and have gradually increased to $80 for a 4/5* hotel in Melbourne for 8/26-8/29. Anyone have any success bidding for hotels down there or know the most recent list of 4/5 stars hotels used by priceline in that location?Thanks,-mber

mber03755 Posted July 29, 2005 Author Report Posted July 29, 2005 Hi thereuare,Thx for the welcome. The max bid I'd probably make would be around $90. I've found deals for the Marriott Melbourne, which I believe to be the one 4 star I know of there at about $150 USD on the Marriott site. Not sure what would be good alternatives to the "chain" hotels in melbourne either. Any advice appreciated on bidding or the alternatives. Thanks!
thereuare Posted July 30, 2005 Report Posted July 30, 2005 You're only $10 away from your maximum bid so i would increase to that... but i do think that if $150 is your best alternative you should be bidding a bit higher (why pay an extra $60/nite if perhaps another $10-$20 would bring success?)We are affiliates of the MARRIOTT if you do need to book direct.
