hekadjaja Posted July 9, 2012 Report Posted July 9, 2012 I am planning to stay in Chicago for a week from 8/7 to 8/14. I would like to get at least a three star hotel in the Millenium Park, North Michigan Ave or Lincoln Park areas at the best price. I am willing to change hotels mid-trip a couple of times if breaking up the dates will help get a better deal (i.e. weekdays vs. weekends). So far, I've bid for 8/7 to 8/10 and 8/10 to 8/12 separately hoping to get a better rate. Any suggestions?

hekadjaja Posted July 10, 2012 Author Report Posted July 10, 2012 I've bid 55-70 on 3* in Millennium Park, Loop & Grant Park Area adding North River, Lincoln Park then Midway North, Hyde Park and Franklin Park with free rebids. This is on all three date ranges of 8/7 to 8/10, 8/10 to 8/12 and 8/12 to 8/14. Hotwire has a 3* for $76 on 8/7 to 8/10. Should I go for that if it comes up in future searches?
thereuare Posted July 11, 2012 Report Posted July 11, 2012 What are the amenities for the 3* property? Even if you split the stay in multiple purchases and different hotels, what is the best average rate you're able to find for the complete stay thru conventional booking channels?
