Hi Everyone. Well, this afternoon, I tried 21 times to get a 4* in Philadelphia and failed. I know I started low, but I thought I would hit something eventually. Here's what I did:

I can get into combinations of zones 3, 5, and 9 now. Should I just be going higher? Would it help to move the dates to 7/10 through 7/13? I could always drop down to 3.5* also. Any help would be appreciated!

These aren't extraordinarily busy dates in Philly, but they are a little bit on the higher side and will require a higher ceiling than the above. What would be your desired max bid per night for this stay?

I'd like to keep it under $100 per night.

A win at $100 is certainly not a sure thing for these dates, but i do think you have a chance (i'm guessing somewhere between the $95-$115 area) so it's up to you if you'd like to bid higher OR try for a 3.5* property... a lower rated hotel may save you about $10-$20.

Dang it! Went up to $90 for a 3.5*, then up to $95 for a 4*. After 70 bids over the past two days, I got nothing. I ended up going with a Hotwire hotel. I'll post my winning bid over there.

Oh well. I'll get 'em next time!
