JLynn Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 Hi, I need to find a hotel not too far from NYU in late August. There will be three of us in the room, so we need two beds. Am I right in assuming you can't specify or guarantee this with Priceline? Or is there any way around this? Thanks for any help!
AaronJB Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)PRICELINE only guarantees 1 bed/double occupancy. One can request two beds with the hotel, but the hotel can say no - this is especially true in NYC, where using PRICELINE for 2 beds is a high risk, given that many rooms (even at the 3.5*/4* level, are small to the point where a rollaway may be a tough fit.HOTWIRE is a better choice, as you can indicate more than 2 people in the room (2adults and 2 children, even it's only 2 adults) in order to ensure some form of bedding beyond one bed (2 beds or 1 + sofa or 1 + rollaway.)Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
