Just booked the Sheraton Vistana Villages through the HOTWIRE link. I actually stayed at this same one in 2010 (booked through here) and wanted to get the same one again. It's not hard to figure out as it is the only 4* Resort with 1BR Suites and Children's Activities in this area.

This is a fantastic place to stay with kids. Our son really loved the pirate ship pool last time. I think this time we are going to hit lego land.

The full features set is:

1 Bedroom Suite

Smoke Free Rooms

Air-Conditioning

Washer and Dryer in Room

Children's Activity Program

Fitness Center

Pool(s)

Restaurant(s)

Business Center

24-hour Front Desk Laundry Facilities (self-service)

High-Speed Internet Access

Golf Nearby

Free Parking

Tennis Nearby

I wanted to give an after trip report back....

Sadly, I will likely not stay here again!

Pros:

-great value for a 1 bdr suite with fold out couch and kitchen, hard to get this for $93/night so close to everything

-awesome pools, our 6 year old loved the pirate ship pool and the slide

-great location, no traffic problems, but if you go a little farther north on I drive you get into some nasty traffic

Cons:

-hotwire advertises daily cleaning service, the hotel did not agree. They refused daily cleaning service (said that does not come with your "package"). They also said if we wanted extra bath towels it would cost extra!! I simply went to the maid cart and grabbed a handful of towels, but I found most of the staff to be very rude

-you get the "free gift" when you check in they want you to go claim. I knew about this and avoided it. They want you to sit in a 2hour timeshare sales pitch. Simply ignore this "gift" (it's a free breakfast) and don't answer or unplug your phone

-very disappointed that most all the staff did not seem to be very nice

-we randomly got an adjoining room, so there was a door on our side of the room. On the third night we smelled cigarette smoke coming from the other room through our door. It turns out there was only a door on OUR side, NO DOOR ON THE OTHER SIDE! So when I opened the door to stuff a towel in it, it opened directly into the other room! UNBELIEVABLE! Front desk was indifferent to this. At least the locks were on our side.

-even though it is listed as a non smoking hotel, front desk said "some units allow smoking"....which to me means it is NOT a non smoking hotel

-my room from 2010 was considerably nicer than this one, maybe I just got unlucky and had an older room this time

Even with the cons, we had a great time, but I will look hard to find another choice next time in Orlando. I don't know if there are other hotels with great pools/slides and a suite in this price range, but I'm sure going to try.
