stjaba
I'm a first time user of Priceline. I am looking to go to Europe in August with a friend, going from TPA to MAD, then LON to TPA.The prices we found on Orbitz/Google Flights etc. are $1000+, depending on day/time.I decided to check out Priceline Name Your Own Price and found TPA-MAD for $200(!) and then LON-TPA for $150(!).We don't care about departure times or connections, or anything like that. I just want to be guaranteed to get there and back around the days we book. Are there any downsides to going through Priceline Name Your Own Price? It seems like an incredible bargain that's too good to be true. I'm looking for confirmation that it's not too good to be true. Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! My guess is that these you may be confusing the 'review your bid before submitting' page as an indication of a successful winning bid... exactly how far in the process are you getting and what gives you the indication that the amounts above would result in a winning bid? In the process have you gone so far as inputting your credit card information OR only the route and the page you're looking at at the top says "Your Trip Summary" and at the bottom has a button either "Preview Offer" or "Buy My Tickets Now"... have you at any point clicked a "Buy My Tickets Now", as PRICELINE has not checked to see if your bid amount is enough until you have clicked the "BUY MY TICKETS NOW" button. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
