We are off to Chicago for my birthday. We are staying downtown and our travel dates are 8/30-9/2. I did a hotwire search and this is what i came up with.

#1.) 3-star Hotel in Downtown Chicago - Millennium Park - Grant Park - 3nights = $99/night Taxesa and Rec.charges = $61.88::TRIP TOTAL $358.88 ($209 other sites*)

These amenities can be common for a city hotel, but the Allerton or the Westin Michigan Avenue Chicago would be my best guess for this one.

Is there a better day during the week to book a hotel? I know that with airfare Wednesday is usually the best booking day. Do hotels work the same way?? ?

This would be a match for the Crowne Plaza Metro, which is definitely at the far West boundary of this zone.

Yea that would be way to far for me. I am originally from Chicago so i know downtown very well. I'm trying to find a great deal on a room w/ a decent view since my boyfriend has never seen the city before. I've found this hotel. Please help w/ ID'ing it ? :)
