Looking for the highest star hotel in the Bar and restaurant area of Chicago! sorry never been to Chicago im looking for july 17th and going to cub game that night also. thank you in advance.

If you are looking to be in/near areas with a good deal of bars/restaurants, you would be best staying downtown North of the river. In terms of HOTWIRE, that would be the Gold Coast area, Mag Mile North-Water Tower or Mag Mile-River North. River North and the Gold Coast are more dense with bars/restaurants - I particularly like River North. The Gold Coast is its own separate area, but River North is part of the larger Mag Mile-RN zone on HOTWIRE.

That listing has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board, but my guess is a downgraded Crowne Plaza Avenue, which would be a bit of trek (but not that bad) to both the Gold Coast and River North.

I'm also seeing a 3.5* in the River North-Mag Mile area w/Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), High-Speed Internet Access for $133. That's a possible match for the Amalfi, Doubletree or Club Quarters Wacker/Michigan - I'd say it's more likely one of the latter two.

I actually think you couldn't have done much better when it comes to being near restaurants/nightlife, as this property is right in the River North area. Very nice deal for this well-reviewed hotel as well, and the first time the hotel has been seen as a PRICELINE win - thank you for letting us know about this new PRICELINE property so that we can update the site's Priceline Hotel List.
