cindy12 Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 I tried bidding $99 and then $125 for a 5* and was rejected. I wanted to try a 4* thru Priceline but I am afraid of getting the Nugget on Fremont St. and I want to stay up on the Strip at the Aladdin.Any suggestions on how to get this done?
thenewbie Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 I am afraid of getting the Nugget on Fremont St.You will only win a hotel within the area(s) you select. If you don't select Fremont St Vicinity, then you won't get any hotels in that area.and I want to stay up on the Strip at the Aladdin.Do you want to stay on the strip in a 4* hotel or are you looking to stay in the Aladdin? You can only chose your hotel quality on Priceline, not a specific hotel.Any suggestions on how to get this done? How much are you looking to spend? What is your maximum per night?
cindy12 Posted July 26, 2005 Author Report Posted July 26, 2005 I would like to spend a maximum of $125/night. I would like to stay at the Aladdin as the other 4* hotel since I have stayed at Treasure Island many times in the past and NYY is not that good-they are both 4* on priceline. The map on priceline is a little confusing - I select the area I want and then I select the shop and compare and it shows me strip-Fremont St., West of Strip, East of Strip, etc. so it is hard to tell what hotels are falling into which zones. is there an easier way to determine the exact hotels in the exact zones?
thenewbie Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 Shop and Compare is not the same product as their name your own price section. It should not be used as the 'list' for possible hotels because it does not show all of the participating hotels. A better option is to look through the list of reported Las Vegas hotels.
thereuare Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 You may want to read my comments about PRICELINE and LAS VEGAS.I think $125 for a 4* may be a stretch for these dates. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
