We are looking to book a hotel on July 24, 2012 to July 28, 2012. We would like to stay in the North Michigan Area. We haven't decided if we want to use Hotwire or Priceline. Our budget is around $125 a night. One concern we have is ending up with a smoking room. We want to try and avoid this as best as possible. Hotwire is showing a post for $124 a night 4-star Hotel in Magnificent Mile North - Water Tower

This Hotel features the following amenities:

Indoor pool(s)

<amenity names only please... not descriptions>

Fitness Center

Guests have access to exercise equipment; an additional charge may apply.

Pool(s)

Property offers at least one pool area; hours and dates of operation may be seasonal.

Restaurant(s)

Property offers at least one restaurant on the premises; hours and days of operation may vary.

Business Center

Guests have access to business equipment and services; an additional charge may apply.

High-Speed Internet Access

Guestrooms are equipped with high-speed Internet access; an extra charge may apply.

Any guesses as to which hotel this is or advice for priceline?

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

I'm seeing a different listing in this spot for this zone when searching for these dates - are you still seeing the above listing? If so, are you searching for more than 2 people?

Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

I am still seeing it after refreshing. I am searching for 2 people. Only two hotels come up. The one I mentioned and one that is listed as Magnificient Mile Area - River North Area Hotel for $163.

I'm not seeing it either... the 4* hotel i see when searching for your dates start with 'Smoke Free', has more amenities than the description you posted above, and doesn't have an indoor pool.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.

Let me show how I am searching and you can tell me what we are doing differently.

I go to the HOTWIRE link on this page and put in the dates July 24-28, Chicago, IL, 1 room, 2 adults, 0 children.

Then I select only 4 star.

Then I clear all the fields and select only: Magnificient Mile Area, Magnificient Mile North, and Chicago Loop Theatre.

This is what just came up this morning:

Chicago Loop Theatre District Hotel $145

Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access

Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom

Roll-in shower

90% Recommended

Magnificient Mile North Water Tower Hotel $127

Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access

Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom

Roll-in shower

60% Recommended

***This particular listing did not have smoke free rooms or the handicap featurees when I searched last night. The price is a little lower and the recommended rate was 80% and not 60%

Can you tell me if I am doing something wrong in the search if you do not turn up the same hotels? If you do can you give me your best guess? The Loop hotel is seeming like a good option now. Thanks so much for the help. I have never done this before!

The 4* Mag Mile North with Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access

Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom is - I'm guessing - the Allerton or a new amenity set for the Whitehall.

The 4* Loop may be the W City Center, Palmer or Hard Rock, but I'd lean towards the W or hard Rock.

Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

Thanks! In your opinion, are these good spots, and is one offer better than the other? The price difference is not an issue.

When I refreshed, I accidentally included another area (Downtown Chicago - Millennium Park - Grant Park Area Hotel)which may also be a good possibility:

$199 4 Star

Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, Laundry Facilities (self-service), High Speed Internet, Spa Services

Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility , Wheelchair accessible ,Accessible bathroom ,Roll-in shower

Could you please make a guess on this one too? Thanks!
