teripg Posted July 2, 2012 Report Posted July 2, 2012 Hi everyone,I am VERY NEW at all of this and I truly thank you for all your patience. I have just started reading through the information provided on this board but I am so new and green it's quite complicated for me LOLDH and I are planning to go to Las Vegas for 8 nights in March 2013 and we are VERY interested in getting a condo off the strip that also provides us with a kitchen where we could prepare some meals for ourselves. I really like the Signature Suites but I can't seem to figure out if both Hotwire and Priceline include these types of condos in their selections. We will be renting a car, so I guess our location to these types of condos can be flexible. I now see there are boards for car rentals as well LOL Where have I been all these years???? LOLThanks so much for all your assistance,Teri
thereuare Posted July 2, 2012 Report Posted July 2, 2012 Welcome to BetterBidding! You can't bid on a specific hotel (or type or with specific amenities) when using PRICELINE, you have to be able to accept any hotel in the zone at the star level (or higher) that you choose. With HOTWIRE they show amenities associates with the hotel and you can select one that shows a Kitchenette or Kitchen icon. The trade-off is that HOTWIRE usually costs a little more than PRICELINE, but with HOTWIRE you're more likely to get what you're looking for (ie- a hotel with a Kitchen/Kitchenette)Do you have your specific dates in mind? If so and you search HOTWIRE does anything appear within your desired zones, star rating and budget that shows a Kitchen or Kitchenette amenity? (keep in mind that you may need to click/hover over the 'See all' link under the amenities to see the complete list of amenities)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Bearabull Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 Not sure if this is allowed, but in the case of the signature, you may want to just try vrbo. Dealing with owners, you can ask if you can get it discounted. Alot of times, owners will come down in price especially if it is getting close to the dates and they are not booked.
