I placed my bid by starting from the PRICELINE link on this site.

I bid 3 days ago and again yesterday on a 5* and 4* hotel in London (Notting Hill - Bayswater) and in London (Mayfair - Soho). Bids up to $189 failed yesterday and 3 days ago. Today I started at $179, and I won the Hilton London Paddington immediately. So I wish I would have started bidding lower! Neither Hammersmith nor Wembley has a 4* or a 5* hotel, so I have been adding those zones to allow me to re-bid immediately on a 4* in the zones I want.

The cheapest rate on the Hilton website is 159 GBP, which is $249. 20% tax is added to that.
