snugglening Posted July 1, 2012 Report Posted July 1, 2012 Do you guys think it is too late to book a 4* near midtown I did the rebid zones up to $205 and no bites. I went MTE,MTW,TS,ESB,MSG and no luck. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
AaronJB Posted July 1, 2012 Report Posted July 1, 2012 I don't think you're too late, and you're likely not that far off. What would be your desired max budget per night for this stay? The 4* Ink48, which is a Kimpton boutique, is $228.65 on hotels.com, plus coupon SUMMER40US10 takes 10% off = $205 and change. This property was last reported at the 4* level in the Hell's Kitchen zone.Thank you for using the site's Hotels.com, HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
snugglening Posted July 1, 2012 Author Report Posted July 1, 2012 Or can someone reccomend a excelent hotel in NY for some sightseeing and a budget friendly price? I would be happy with $150 a night or less if it was in a great location near as many attractions. As long as I can get to as many places as I can on foot?
snugglening Posted July 1, 2012 Author Report Posted July 1, 2012 I think Ill try for a 3.5 and hope for the helmsley? Any ideas what I might want to bid it I think $130 is the highest I have seen thru the pasts post.
thereuare Posted July 2, 2012 Report Posted July 2, 2012 Note that when bidding 3.5* and lower in the MTE zone some 'known' hotels can be up to a 15 minute walk to the subway... is this acceptable?Pleas confirm so we know whether or not to include this in a bidding strategy. Also, we will re-include MSG in the bidding since that was a previously acceptable zone (but not included above since no 4* hotel offered in this area)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
