Priceline Hotel: 3.5* Cleveland (Independence) Crowne Plaza Hotel Cleveland South - Independence

Looking for 10 days in the Cleveland area near University Circle. Didn't want to pay $16-$20 for parking downtown or $8 near airport. Chose 3.5 star Independence, close with lots of restaurants nearby.

Seems like prices have gone up in the area but had a few weeks to bid so started in smaller increments a couple weeks ago.

Had $50 coupon. Bid today at $50, turned down, added a zone, rebid at $52, turned down. They countered at $69 per night. Rebid at same $52 for 5 nights of the 10. They accepted.

Now I am short 5 nights. They offered me an additional 5 nights same hotel for $67. Turned them down knowing even though I could land in the other 3.5 star at an all together different rate.

Started over and rebid again the same zone at $56 with a $30 coupon for the last 5 days. Average rate $54 per night.

Little bit of work but happy to get this hotel.
