goofysillygirl
I am planning on taking a trip on August 19-22. I would like to get a 4 or more star hotel and stay close to Michigan Ave. (I don't want different zones) I used Priceline last year and ended up at the Doubletree right by the John Hancock Observatory for around $90.00 so I hope to get around the same this time, any suggestions? I can't remember the zone it was in. Link to comment

goofysillygirl
Thanks, I tried to place the bid of up to $90.00 using the rebids and it didn't accept my offer. I am now wondering when is the earliest I can bid again and is the process the same? I made the $90.00 bid including zones 1 and 2 today at around 9:40ish. Does that mean I can rebid again on Friday around 10 probably? And would I basically just be starting over? Thanks! Link to comment
thereuare
Yes, 72 hours from the last bid you had made.Since this stay is only 2 weeks away, you should also start to think about a back-up plan if you fail at 4 stars... lowering your rating, raising your bid, and/or adding alternate zones. goofysillygirl
I rebid today. The first bid for $100 was rejected, then I rebid $110 with zone one included. That was also rejected. So I closed the browser and rebid $120 with zone 2 instead, that also was rejected. I then added both zone 1 and 2 and rebid $150.00 and that was accepted. I ended up getting hte Millenium Knickerbocker Hotel, but I'm a little leery because it has terrible reviews on trip advisor.com. Has anyone stayed there? Please tell me it's okay! :) The prices were really high over this weekend because the air and water show was going on. Link to comment
