Hotwire Hotel: Looking to bid on SA Resort

I am needing assistance on placing my first bid for a resort in San Antonio. 3 adults, 1 child (12) for July 4th thru the 7th. Hoping to get under $100/night, maybe even in the $80's lol! Thanks to anyone who can help guide me thru this.

Do you need two beds? If so, HOTWIRE would be a better choice in this situation as you can search for the amount of people in the party. PRICELINE only guarantees one bed/double occupancy - you can request two beds with the hotel, but the hotel can say no.

With HOTWIRE, you can also look for listings that note "resort". With PRICELINE, "resort" is a particular star level and that star level may not be available to bid on in all areas - on the first screen during the checkout process, you can select a zone and see what star ratings can be bid on in that zone.

Yes we would need atleast 2 beds, so Hotwire is the place to go then. Thanks! I'm going to go take a look around to see what I can find. What should be my next step if I find one I like?

Also, would anyone happen to know of a good way to find cheaper vacation house rentals? Kind of looking all around at the moment.
