SRA312 Posted June 23, 2012 Report Posted June 23, 2012 I just booked a Hotwire room for $135 for the Chelsea / Madison Square Garden area, 2.5*, free high-speed Internet access and free breakfast. It turned out to be the Best Western Convention Center Hotel. Listed rates at present for that night are $169 plus 14.75 percent tax. So I guess I saved about $39.The only 2.5* that this board had listed in this zone was Candlewood Suites, and I was hoping for that one. This board's Hotwire hotel guide has Best Western as a 2*, but apparently Hotwire has upgraded it to 2.5, so you should change that.
AaronJB Posted June 24, 2012 Report Posted June 24, 2012 Sorry to hear that the result was a disappointment - hopefully the hotel will exceed expectations.Thank you for letting us know about the new star rating for this HOTWIRE property so that we can update the site's Hotwire Hotel List.Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
thereuare Posted June 24, 2012 Report Posted June 24, 2012 Can you please add a reply to this thread confirming that in addition to Free Hi-Speed Internet and Free Breakfast amenities, there was also a 'Hi-Speed Internet' amenity listed... you can still view this information by going to HOTWIRE and clicking the MY ACCOUNT link near the top right of their home page. Also, i don't believe the Candlewood Suites offers a Complimentary Breakfast, so that would have been a clue that this was not the Candlewood Suites (as well as it not matching previous amenities associated for that property). Feel free to ask the board for help, or confirmation of what you think the hotel you're about to purchase is, before your next opaque purchase. Thanks, enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
