supergriff
I am wanting to bid on two rooms for a Disneyland trip checking in on 6/29 and staying 2 nights. My thoughts were to try and go for 4 stars in the Disneyland south area and keep expanding with zones that don't have any 4 star hotels. Any recommendation for a strategy on bidding amount? I would be fine ending up in a 3 star, but I don't want to be outside of the Disneyland North or Disneyland South zones and because there are so few anaheim zones with 4 stars, I thought I'd start out pursuing that. supergriff
I was hoping to not go over $65 to $70 per night, but that's sort of why I'm here to get the expert opinion. I need a hotel there those two nights, so if you guys tell me I need to spend more money or be in a 2 or 3 star, I'm pretty flexible. I just want to get a place with a decent pool for the best deal possible and be close to Disneyland. I have free annual pass parking at DL, so I don't care about being close enough to walk or having a shuttle, but I'd rather not drive longer than those two zones I mentioned since my kids often like to go back to the hotel for a nap or to play in the pool for a while in the middle of the day. thereuare
Few questions before suggesting a strategy to follow...My thoughts were to try and go for 4 stars in the Disneyland south area and keep expanding with zones that don't have any 4 star hotels.... I don't want to be outside of the Disneyland North or Disneyland South zones and because there are so few anaheim zones with 4 stars, I thought I'd start out pursuing that. You mention only bidding the Disneyland South zone but then mention that you're ok with anything in the Disneyland South or Disneyland North zones. Did you only want to bid Disneyland South up to a certain point before including Disneyland North... or is your goal the least expensive 4* in either of these two zones?...my kids often like to go back to the hotel for a nap or to play in the pool for a while in the middle of the day.PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, after that it's at the discretion of the hotel, and you could receive a room with only one bed. While you can call the hotel you win and request a room with two beds, the hotel may not be able, or willing, to honor your request. Is this a risk you're willing to accept? If not, HOTWIRE may still be an option as they allow you to search for up to quad occupancy and ensure sleeping accommodations for everyone you include in your search (although this usually means two beds, the second 'bed' could be a sofabed, rollaway, etc)Let us know your thoughts on the board and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
