Hi everyone,

Just looking for a bit of guidance if you would be so kind. I’m looking to take my girlfriend to New York (surprise city break) over the New Year and looking for some guidance and any tips you may have. I’m new to priceline so any help would be much appreciated.

I’m looking for the following;

Hotel – 4*

Arrival - 29th Dec (4 nights)

Leaving - 2nd Jan

Zones – Central park south, Hells Kitchen, Empire state building, MTE, Chelsea, and upper west side. (or any suggestions)

I have a max budget of around $300 inc taxes per night, would this be enough?

The dates are not flexible as I’m flying in from the UK! (yep I’m a brit and will be my first time in NY).

Many thanks for your time.

Many thanks to all for the info on this site (re-bidding etc), been through FAQ’s well informed :)

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

The problem is really NYE, which is one of the busiest nights of the year - the night before/after that is also busy (although not as bad.)

$300 including taxes *might* be possible, although splitting the stay between two hotels may be helpful in getting in within budget. Would that be acceptable?

Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

Hi and thanks for the reply,

Splitting the stay is a great idea and no real problems in that to be honest.

Is it a little too early to be bidding now for these dates?

Many thanks for your time.
