Best guess for the 4.5* would be the InterContinental and my best guess for the 4* would be the W Chicago Lakeshore.

Nice deal for the potential W, although one word of warning - the boutique property is definitely not going to be everyone's cup-of-tea (understandably.) If you are looking for a trendy property, it certainly works. If you are looking for a more subdued and/or historic property, I'd look elsewhere. Additionally, while the W is right across Lake Shore Drive from the lake, it is a bit of a walk to Michigan Ave.

The amenities for the 4* Loop-Theater property are common and the Hard Rock, Palmer House Hilton and W Chicago City Center would all be possible candidates for this one.

The Hilton Hotel and Towers would be my best guess for the Grant Park property.

Out of those two, I'd rather suggest the 4* Loop-Theater District property, as the Hilton is at the far South end of the Loop.

The 4.5* hotel in River North went down to $110, what do you think of that property? The guess is that it's the InterContinental. Celebrating my partners birthday, so want it to be special.

The Inter-Continental gets some mixed reviews, but I liked it - it's in a terrific location, and while it's a historic hotel that has a pretty fascinating history, it has modern touches. My guess is that the 4* Downtown-Millennium-Grant Park may be a new amenity set for the Hyatt or Swiss.
