Priceline Hotel: 4* Boston (Revere - Logan Airport), Hilton Boston Logan Airport

I wanted a hotel close to Logan for an early flight out the next morning, and this one is apparently walking distance to the terminal. It must be a busy time of year, though, because I could not get the usual deeply discounted rate despite serial bidding by adding different regions (each without a 4* hotel). I started at $115 and went up by $4 increments over 3 days, eventually reaching a point at which the price that I was about to bid ($168) plus taxes/fees exceeded the published discount (non-refundable) rate ($175) + taxes offered by Hilton online. I didn't realize (but probably should have) that Priceline charges a fee per booking on top of the usual steep hotel taxes such that it was actually a wee bit more expensive to bid on PL at that point. In the end, I booked directly with Hilton and got the added benefit of specifying 2 beds.

Not a disappointment, however. BB allowed me to get the best possible price, and the PRICELINE MAPS are an awesome tool to help with the serial bidding strategy.

Needless to say, I used the PRICELINE link. I'm a big fan. Now onto securing a rental car. :)
