Looking to stay in Chicago , Friday thru Sunday 7/20-22/2012. It appears as there are no discounted rooms available for this week end. Looking at Magnificent mile Streetervile area. Is there something going on.

Looking to stay in Streetervile - Gold Coast area 3-4 star, $ 100.00 per night.

Looked at hot Wire, my daughter bid on priceline,not sure what she bid but, she could not get a better deal than $140.00. She has reservations at Palmer House $140.00 for 1 night, 7/21/12. Palmer House reservation not thru hot Wire or Priceline.

Are you traveling with your daughter, need a room in addition to her reservation, OR try to help her find an alternative reservation to her current reservation.

Your first post mentions you're looking at the Magnificent mile Streetervile area, but your last post mentions Streetervile-Gold Coast... are you willing to accept both the NMA-River North and the Millennium-Loop-Grant Park zones? Have you already bid on both of these zones up to $140?

Not traveling with daughter,looking for alternative place.

Magnificent Mile,Gold Coast,Streeterville,are first choice areas,River North and Millennium Park are not what I would prefer, but may have to accept these areas.

Have not bid yet on Priceline. Have been looking at Hotwire.

Sorry, I am looking for a alternative place in Chicago to stay for myself. We are not traveling with my daughter,but plan on being in Chicago the same weekend.

The Gold Coast cannot be specified on PRICELINE, as it's part of the River North-NMA area. It is a separate area on HOTWIRE. For a 4* in the River North-NMA area, I'd start at $95, but you're probably looking at $125-130. I'd start at $80, but for a 4* in the Millennium Park-Loop-Grant Park you're probably looking at $100-115.

Started bidding at $85.00. Bid over several days. Final bid $134.00 for 3 star accepted Grant Park.

Essex Inn, nice place and clean, rooms were updated, check in and out was friendly and quick, out side of building looks rough. We were in Chicago for the Rock and Roll run. This location worked out well for us. Chicago was very busy.
