thereuare
If you go back to HOTWIRE and click the 'See all' link under the amenities, do you see more than what you've included above? Also, do you need to be in this specific zone? With this 3.5* property, and a 3.5/5.0 TA review selling for $114/nite... why not the 4* hotel (higher rated) in the White House-Downtown zone with 95% recommendation by previous HOTWIRE guests (positive), 4.5/5.0 across the board on all the criteria HOTWIRE asks guests for feedback on (also positive), and a 4.0/5.0 TA rating (better than the rating of the 3.5* property above)... for less than $5 more per nite. This would seem like a better value, imo. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Jack George
Thanks for replying. We don't need to stay in this specific zone, I was just thinking it might be easier to be near all the sites. We might be able to walk to some of them. Since this is our first time to DC I'm not sure the best place to stay. Obviously a place near a Metro station is a must. The only problem with the hotel you suggested is that it doesn't have a pool and with 2 kids a pool is a must.I was also looking at the Bethesda - Chevy Chase area for $82. I think that is the Hyatt Regency Bethesda. Here is all the amenities for the 3.5* site. Thanks for any help!Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Wheelchair accessible Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower Link to comment
thereuare
A guess for the Capitol Hill - National Mall property would be the L'Enfant Plaza, upgraded sine the last time it was reported to the board.Since this an extended stay you could see if this same property is offered for the first (or last) nite of your stay and then again for the balance. If so, you could purchase the solo nite in order to 'look behind the curtain'. If you're happy with the results purchase the remaining nites, if not, make alternate plans for the balance of your stay. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and/or how it goes or if we can be of further help.
