Hey everyone,

I need some help getting a hotel in Waikiki next year. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the bidding strategy for this, I am looking to stay only in a resort but will keep bidding until offer is accepted

Desired Area: Waikiki Beach

Dates: 6/23-6/30 2013

Category: RESORT

Budget: NO SPECIFIC NUMBER JUST BEST DEAL POSSIBLE

Thank you very much

You can't bid for this stay yet as PRICELINE reservations can only be made for stays within the next 330 days.

Please continue this thread once you're eligible and ready to bid for this trip and we'll have a look at current rates at that time.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... and your searches too! (please click each of these links before replying)

Thanks.

I am going to be in Hawaii 6/24/13-6/30/13 I know I cant bid yet but i can as of this Saturday. My question is what are the re-bid zones if I am wanting to stay on Waikiki Beach? also is the Sheraton Waikiki considered a Resort or 4*? I am only looking to stay in Waikiki Beach 4* or above including resort.

Thanks for any info

You need to know how to determine your re-bid zones on your own as new hotels can be added, and other hotels upgraded/downgrade, so the re-bid zones can change at any time. See this thread on re-bidding, Priceline Re-Bidding Explained, and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board (NOTE: when bidding Resort in this region you have FOUR re-bid zones). If you read the previous link and are confused just post back and we'll break it down further for you.

Also, you should use MAPS and HOTELS.com and/or BiddingHelper.com to determine the best price you're able to find at an acceptable hotel thru conventional booking channels... then this can serve as your upper bidding limit (which is a better strategy than "i have no limit and will bid until accepted")

Let us know if you're able to identify, and/or confirm, your re-bid zones, as well as your maximum bid, we'll the suggest a strategy for you to follow.
