Didn't realize this hotel was on hotwire. Had I known I would not have bid. There was a fatal multiple shooting here a couple of weeks back. Not happy about this "win".

Those were the amenities posted for the hotel.

I did call Hotwire and they told me that since this is a "Hotwire hot rate" nothing can be done. I know that this is their policy for this type of rate but at the same time I assumed that they dont list hotels with multiple shootings / murders.

I don't know anything about this property but hopefully the above is just an isolated incident and you'll actually enjoy your stay. If you do have an issue while at the property i'd call HOTWIRE again, as usually their stance is that you at least need to try see the property and not rely on hearsay of what you may have read on the internet (i'm speaking in general terms here... not of the incident you referenced above)

After staying here I am still disappointed with Hotwire, perhaps more so now than before my stay. I am not sure how this Motel earned a 3* rating. A lot of the amenities the website for the motel advertises are not in every room, as I found out.

To be honest this isn't a bad place. As far as MOtels go this is the nicest I have ever seen (I haven't stayed at too many and certainly not recently). I just didn't realize I was bidding on a motel and I wish HOTWIRE would have advertised it as such.

I forget which, PRICELINE or HOTWIRE, used to have 'interior corridors' as a minimum threshold for a hotel to qualify for a given star level, but otherwise the services don't indicate hotel/motel for any specific properties.

I am not sure I would say the stay was better than expected (re: first paragraph of my last post). I also have things in the room that dont work (already reported, yet to be fixed) and I've already seen the police again.
