Priceline Hotel: 4* Honolulu (Waikiki North) Hawaii Prince

I'm hoping for the Hawaii Prince by bidding 4* in Waikiki North. I stayed there last November for $95 + taxes. Anyway here is my bid history so far:

• 4* Waikiki North $80 - Rejected
  
• + Executive Center $85 - Rejected
  
• + HNL Airport $90 - Rejected
  

One thing I did notice was that Priceline automatically included the Resort category in my bid. I did not choose this. Is this a new 'feature'? I don't like it. I don't want a resort.

I'll wait the 72 hours and try again. There is no rush.

They have always checkmarked the higher rated zones than the only you have bid.

So I guess I don't have any comeback when they book a resort for me and charge me resort fees? I explicitly avoid resorts because of the hidden fees.

I won the Hawaii Prince Hotel (Waikiki North) from 10/3-10/11 a few weeks back. Had tried starting off at $100, then added Exec Center @ $105, then won adding Ihilani area @110.00.

The Hawaii Prince site showed $209 per night at the time. I remember a few years back the Prince winning at $85. I have stayed at a few of the 'Resorts' and I don't recall additional 'fees'.

The Hawaii Prince is asking $179 on Expedia for this night. With Priceline taxes added to this bid ($20.83), the total outlay would be $125.83. I'm fast reaching the point where for a few dollars more I could stay at other properties (like Sheraton & Radisson) and earn miles.

I'll wait another 72 hours and try again.
