carpediem888 Posted June 25, 2012 Author Report Posted June 25, 2012 Wrapping up my one-night stay here now. Property is more of a 2 star hotel for these reasons:1. Shower temp vacillates between hot and cold - took 2 showers (one around 11 PM and the other at 730 AM) and both were annoying. Pressure good, though.2. Doors open directly to parking in front of room, which can be good or bad.3. Not the prettiest part of town by any imagination.4. Renovated rooms are actually pretty nice with granite, double sinks, firm mattresses, in-room fridge and microwave. TV is old-school CRT 19-inch.5. Check-in area, bar, and conference room areas are bleak - I shudder to think how much more bleak it would be in winter.6. Walls are paper thin - you'll hear any neighboring kids or couples next door making new kids.If I had to bid again, I'd stay at 3 stars or above. For a one-night stay, this was okay for the $44. I'd gladly shell out an extra $10 or $15 to stay at the new Springhill Suites or Residence Inn about 5 minutes south, if I had to swing through Medford again.
