snowstorm Posted June 14, 2012 Report Posted June 14, 2012 Hi, I've been reading through the forums. Could you someone help me with a strategy for the above dates? 3 nights in NYC. I am bringing a minor with me, so one adult, one child. Not sure if that will make a difference.I'd like to stay 4* for around $160 in Chelsea, Empire State Bldg area, MTE. I think these areas should be fairly 'family friendly'? If anyone has a better suggest for a neighbourhood, I'm open to suggestions. However, I do not want to stay near the financial district.Any help is appreciated. I found this strategizing scheme fascinating! Thanks!
thereuare Posted June 14, 2012 Report Posted June 14, 2012 Welcome to BetterBidding!Glad to hear you're enjoying the board :)Is there a reason you're not including TS, MTW and/or CPS in your bidding? At the 4* level these are all generally considered well located and might improve your chances of landing a winning bid.Your thoughts? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. snowstorm Posted June 14, 2012 Author Report Posted June 14, 2012 i thought TS might be somewhat noisy and sketch for the child? lol, i stayed around midtown last time when i went to nyc, so i wanted to try a different neighbourhood. anyhow, i found another place @ Desmond Tutu Centre, definitely not 4* but spacious, charming and fit the bill of what i was looking for @ 165 per night. reasonable enough so i booked it already. Thanks!
