dt4211 Posted July 23, 2005 Report Posted July 23, 2005 First bid $69 for a 4* in the NMA-River North area, was rejected. Added boutique and raised bid to $74 and was accepted at the Omni. Since that's a boutique, it's possible it could be had for an even lower bid.For comparison, the lowest price on Hotwire for the Gold Coast area for a 4* is $95 (and I'm pretty sure that's for the Omni.)
AaronJB Posted July 23, 2005 Report Posted July 23, 2005 Enjoy the hotel - aside some a mix-up with billing that was resolved quickly, I had a nice stay. The room was very comfortable and, for use of a better word, "home-y". I believe we stayed in room 838 (?) and it was quite nice.Stock up on snacks/drinks down the street a couple of blocks at the CVS Pharmacy; there's also a lot of restaurant choices nearby that are much cheaper than the room service here. However, if you are looking to treat yourself, dine at the famed Pump Room restaurant in the hotel.Museums and downtown attractions are not close, but there's plenty of public transit nearby.$74 is definitely a good deal for this particular hotel.
