Hi guys. Please help. I'm tyring to book the JW Marriott Lake Rosseau from June 19-June 22 (3 nights). I started my bid at 90 (rejected) then 95 (rejected) then 101 (also rejected). Is there any reason for these rejection? Someone else won a stay from June 24-26 for $90 a night. Please help.

I started with the Muskoka Lakes region. Then added Gravenhurst and another city that i know does not have resorts. Still no luck. Is it the days? Tuesday-Friday?

Thanks,

Rider

Yes, probably the days. Rates are very date specific. I looked at your dates on the web site and they started at $235 CAD. Those other guys got really lucky.

Given the $200+ rates for your dates, what is your maximum bid for this trip?

Also, keep in mind that you're not bidding on a specific hotel, but rather any hotel in the zone at the star rating (or higher) that you designate.

Given that someone got the JW for June 24-26 for $90, i was hoping to get that price. I guess my maximum would be $125.00. The weirdest thing was that after only one bid they would offer a "special rate" (not a counter offer) of $183. Any chance i can get the room for $125 or under? My dates are flexible. week of June 18. hoping for 3 nights but based on the $183 offer only two seems to be an option now.

Congrats on your success. :)

Definitely a very nice win for this property! Hope you are looking forward to your stay.

Do you need additional dates or are 6/17-19 your new travel dates?

Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.

Enjoy your stay.

Your $110 win, is your check-out date 6/19 (a 2 nite stay) or 6/20 (a 3 nite stay)?

When looking to add the nite of 6/20, did you try the 'add a nite' feature or did you try bidding again? If you tried extending the stay what was PRICELINE's response... if you tried bidding how high did you for the nite of 6/20?

Although not preferred, are you ok if you receive a different property and need to change hotels mid-stay?

My win was for a 2 night stay - check out of 6/19. I tried adding 6/20 using their "add a night feature" for the same price, but they would not give me 6/20 for the same price, which i found very weird. I didn't try bidding or offering a higher price.

Rates for the nite of 6/19 are a little higher than the nites for 6/17-6/19 so it's not that surprising that the hotel wasn't offered for the same rate (were you given a counter-offer rate OR just told that no rooms were available?)

Are you willing to change hotels for the last nite? Is the additional nite optional or do you have plans which require you to be in the area for this nite as well?
