The dates are 6 August to 7 August.

I've been through the topics dealing with SF hotel and it looks like the one I mentioned in my post can't be the Omni since it has a 100% approval rating (impressive!)

I should think the Omni must be busy during the summer, being so ^popular, it may not appear in the Hotelwire lists, then.

Still, I wonder which hotel lies behind the "4.5* Financial District - Embarcadero area" description.

I've eventually decided to book the Intercontinental Mark Hopkins instead, for the view. And since only some rooms have a bay view, I think I'll book straight on their site.

However, I'll definitely be back soon, when booking my next hotel, I like the idea of "hunting" for a hotel, it's fun! (and potentially saves a lot of money as well!)

My guess for the 4.5* property would be the Taj Campton Place.

The geography doesn't seem right to be the Taj. I would think the Mandarin Oriental is a possibility.
