gambler1234 Posted July 22, 2005 Report Posted July 22, 2005 will also be in Las Vegas from 9/9 to 9/12. I have not been in 2 years and always got free or real cheap rooms. Wow, was I surprised at the prices of rooms now!! Is this the norm?? So, now I am looking at priceline. I have only used it once before, for a hotel in Baltimore this past June. A 4* would work for me. What can I expect to bid for this? What are the fees? and what properties do you think I will get? Do I just bid the strip zone? Thanks for any help.
thereuare Posted July 22, 2005 Report Posted July 22, 2005 What is your budget and the best rate that you can find for a hotel that is acceptable to you?You stay covers both weekend and midweek days, are you willing to SPLIT YOUR BID? gambler1234 Posted July 23, 2005 Author Report Posted July 23, 2005 No, I do not want to split my bid. I actually can get Harrahs free for the Sunday night, but the Fri and Sat night rate is around $170 plus taxes each night. Maybe this is reasonable now a days if you average if over the 3 nights??? I was thinking maybe I could do better with priceline, maybe not??
thereuare Posted July 23, 2005 Report Posted July 23, 2005 You can certainly try, but the 'free' nite brings your costs down considerably and therefore i'm doubtful you'll have success in beating that rate. There is a similar rate available for the Excalibur, but between the tow, i'd sooner take Harrahs. gambler1234 Posted August 11, 2005 Author Report Posted August 11, 2005 Just cancelled the Harrahs reservation and booked Imperial Palace on their site for $75 Fri and Sat and $56 on Sun. I know it is no 5 star, but it will work.
