thereuare Posted June 7, 2012 Report Posted June 7, 2012 Bally's would be my best guess for the property above. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. bulafan Posted June 7, 2012 Author Report Posted June 7, 2012 Ok, thanks. The reviews don't look very good and I think I need to spend more to get more. I will post results of what I get and I always use your PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links.
thereuare Posted June 7, 2012 Report Posted June 7, 2012 Bally's isn't bad, and it does have a great location, but it depends what you're looking for as it lacks a theme like the mega-resorts that have since been built on the strip. bulafan Posted June 7, 2012 Author Report Posted June 7, 2012 Well, it might be worth a try. I don't see any resort fee listed on hotwire for Ballys. Is that correct? Thanks for your help.
thereuare Posted June 8, 2012 Report Posted June 8, 2012 That's correct... Bally's doesn't have a resort fee.HOWEVER, note that the 3.5* hotel currently showing on HOTWIRE (at least on my search) is still offered at $42/nite but the amenities have changed slightly (Blind Accessible is no longer showing) and there is now a Resort fee show... implying that this is now likely a different property (as well, the percent recommended by previous HOTWIRE guests has decreased)What is your budget for this trip... as the 4* North Strip might be of interest? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. bulafan Posted June 8, 2012 Author Report Posted June 8, 2012 Wow, things change quickly. I should have moved faster on that. We are just looking for a nice, clean hotel within walking distance to the strip. We are using Las Vegas as a place to sleep and doing "day trips" as well as heading to The Grand Canyon. But, I'd like to be able to walk the strip from where we're at. The change on Hotwire doesn't look good.
bulafan Posted June 8, 2012 Author Report Posted June 8, 2012 They switched back today to the old list of amentites with no resort fee. I booked it and it is Bally's. Any tips on getting the North Tower when we get there?
thereuare Posted June 8, 2012 Report Posted June 8, 2012 Congratulations on your success! Glad to see this property re-appeared and that you were able to pick it up at a great deal and it was the hotel you were hoping for. Given that you were looking for something inexpensive, centrally located, no resort fee, and didn't need a themed mega-resort, i think this fits your needs quite well.Thank you for sharing your win with the board.
