Priceline Hotel: 4* Chicago (Millenium Park - The Loop - Grant Park) Swissotel Chicago

Been bidding on Chicago (2 rooms, 3.5*+, Millennium Park, North Michigan Ave, up to $125) for a solid week with absolutely no luck. I went through the same daily routine today.

Bid $100 for Millennium Park but, to my surprise, received a $129 counteroffer.

Rejected the counteroffer, used free rebids in $5 increments, and won the Swissotel for $115.

I wonder if I could have gotten it cheaper if I bid for 1 room at a time. In any case, the going rate is $280/night, so I could do a lot worse.

Definitely a very nice win for this property on the river. I'd ask for a higher floor in an attempt to get a view - you may not get a lakeview (which is an upgrade), but if you get a river view or possibly a partial city/park view, it's worth trying for.
