Priceline Hotel: Help for 3.5* NYC 6/9-6/10

first time using priceline or hotwire just looking for advice to find the best deal for a 3.5* hotel in MTE NYC for 6/9-6/10.

Also, is MTE the only zone you're willing to accept? By including as many zones that are acceptable you increase the number of hotels that are able to accept your bid price, which in turn increases your chance of success and the best deal possible.

Lastly, do note that when bidding 3.5* and below in the MTE zone there are some hotels that can be up to a 15 minute walk to the subway... is this acceptable? What is your maximum bid for this trip?
