Priceline Hotel: Budapest Hotels

Hi,

I'm wondering if I can figure out which hotel(s) I might get when placing a bid on priceline/hotwire for a weekend in Budapest, Hungary. Does it have to be a hotel that one could normally book at the "standard" price, or can it be hidden hotels that aren't in the regular list?

I'm eager to book a 5-star with Priceline, does anyone which hotels I might get? They guaruantee a guest review average of 8 or higher.

The alternative is Hotwire, does anyone know which hotels one might get?

Have you found the Hotel Lists yet? Right at the beginning of this Priceline - Other Countries area, and right at the beginning of the Hotwire - Other Countries area. There are lists of both the Priceline and Hotwire hotels members have received and reported here.

I have to admit that when I bid Budapest several years ago, I did receive a hotel not yet reported on the lists. It happens. So use them more as a guideline suggesting the type of hotel you might receive, rather than a definitive list. I was happy with the hotel though.

Also, clear at the bottom of this site is the Hotel Reviews area. You need to go into the first post that alphabetizes them and click on the "H" for Hungary. While not all the hotels have been reviewed, it will still help you get a further idea of what you might receive.
