thereuare Posted May 28, 2012 Report Posted May 28, 2012 My best guess for the 4.5* property would be the InterContinental and for the 4* it would be the W Chicago Lakeshore. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. AaronJB Posted May 28, 2012 Report Posted May 28, 2012 If you are looking for a hip boutique, the W would be a great choice. From a convenience standpoint, the W is at the lake, which requires a walk to Michigan Ave and a moderate trek (if a very pleasant moderate trek) to the subway. The Intercontinental does get some mixed reviews, although I've stayed there and thought it was a very nice property with a neat history. The Intercontinental is right on Michigan Ave, by the river - so a very nice, central location. Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
mommybg Posted May 29, 2012 Author Report Posted May 29, 2012 Thanks. We haven't decided yet. Still trying our luck with PRICELINE.

mommybg Posted June 3, 2012 Author Report Posted June 3, 2012 I started bidding at $100 and was going in $5 increments. After $125, I went up to $127. Priceline countered with $150. I wasn't willing to do that, so I added Millenium Park-The Loop and increased my bid to $130 and got the Crowne Plaza. Their website price was $170/night. The reviews on Trip Advisor are mixed, but the location seems really good. I guess we will see!
mommybg Posted June 3, 2012 Author Report Posted June 3, 2012 I ended getting the Crowne Plaza Avenue for $130/night through PRICELINE. Thanks again for your help!
AaronJB Posted June 3, 2012 Report Posted June 3, 2012 Congrats on your success. :)Not a bad deal for a busy period in the city. This is the former Radisson, in a great location right off Michigan Ave.Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
