alexiou Posted July 20, 2005 Report Posted July 20, 2005 I need two nights in Montreal (7/23 through 7/25). I am thinking about bidding somewhere between $50 and $55 for a 3* hotel downtown montreal. Do I have any chances? I was thinking on bidding at the airport area also, but I am not sure how the area is around there. I really want the 4* but it looks like I won't be able to get anything for under $100 per night (even though with so many rebids). Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

alexiou Posted July 20, 2005 Author Report Posted July 20, 2005 Ok,here is what I have in mind.For Montreal Area, I am looking to go as low as 2 1/2 star hotel, max bid of $60.For Dorval Airport area, I am looking for a min 3 star hotel, max bid $55.And for Pointe Claire, I am looking for a min 3 star hotel, max bid $50.For Laval, I am looking for a min 3 star hotel, max bid $45.I am not interested in the other areas.I am looking for something conveniently located to the airport (I will have a rental car so I don't need public transportation nearby) with good experiences and services (free internet access is a plus but not required). I saw there's a Hilton Garden Inn in montreal, but haven't seen any winning bids on it in this forum. I like the Hilton Garden Inns (they have free internet!).How do think guys I should proceed? Thanks a lot for your help.

What is more important, zone or price (not that there is that much differentiation between your price limits within each zone). Also, the zone order listed is the one I prefer, starting with the Montreal downtown area. And, like you said, price is not as important, as long as it doesn't exceed $60. Thanks!
