twinkles0819 Posted July 20, 2005 Report Posted July 20, 2005 Hi there,I'm quite new to these boards but I am quite familiar with how helpful it is. I have not tried priceline for anything except for hotel rooms in Orlando (which I was less picky about)This time around, I am looking to book for Vegas. There are some great deals going aroung now but unfortunately this does not include my dates since I am planning to be in Vegas on the weekend. My dates are as follows : Friday sept 9th thru Monday Sept 12th. My dates aren't an option, I will be attending a show the 10th.I would love to stay at a 5* but I know that's not always an option. The hotel I am looking at is the Aladdin. Since this is where the show is but I guess that doesn't have to be if I can get a good deal somewhere else. The lowest I have seen is $165 for the Aladdin. I really have no clue as to what I should expect to pay if I want to go priceline. Any suggestions?? Or any deals I am not aware of.Thanks
thereuare Posted July 20, 2005 Report Posted July 20, 2005 That seems like a decent rate for that property for these dates. Here are some other options just so that you have options:Excalibur for $118/nite is certainly passable at $50/nite cheaperTreasure Island for $155/niteMonte Carlo for $163/nite is also nice and has a great poolNot sure i if i would use priceline in this instance because the deals in Las Vegas are usually not that great (except at the 5* level which will not likely be available for these dates) and you don't want to end up too far from the show's location. If you are willing to SPLIT YOUR BID we could probably come up with something a little better, but dont' know if that is an option for you or not. gambler1234 Posted July 21, 2005 Report Posted July 21, 2005 I will also be in Las Vegas from 9/9 to 9/12. I have not been in 2 years and always got free or real cheap rooms. Wow, was I surprised at the prices of rooms now!! Is this the norm?? So, now I am looking at priceline. I have only used it once before, for a hotel in Baltimore this past June. A 4* would work for me. What can I expect to bid for this? What are the fees? and what properties do you think I will get? Do I just bid the strip zone? Thanks for any help.
