Priceline Hotel: Ottawa - Canada Day 2012 - June 29 to July 2

Hello,

We are braving the crowds for Canada Day in Ottawa this year. It's my husband and I along with our 10 year old son. We currently have a B&B booked about 20-25 minutes walk from the Parliament Buildings. Our rate is $160 per night including breakfast and a 2 room suite with our own private bath.

My question is ... can we get any better deals on that weekend perhaps closer to the Parliament Buildings or the Byward Market using Priceline? Thinking that our breakfast would run us about $30, we would have to have rates less than $130 to consider looking at another alternative. And I would want 3* and above. And we already have 2 rooms versus the 3 of us jammed into 2 double beds.

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

If you need to ensure sleeping accommodations for 3 people then i don't see anything at the moment that fits your criteria above.

If you're willing to book for double occupancy HOTWIRE has a 3.5* hotel for $151/nite, it doesn't include breakfast, but it has a very good 4.0/5.0 TA rating and gets excellent reviews from recent HOTWIRE guests (including 5.0/5.0 for location)... so it's a trade-off on based upon the double vs. triple occupancy 'risk' and no free breakfast... but on the otherhand a better location (and i'm assuming a higher star rating as well)

Thank you very much. For now I think we'll stick with what we have. With the B&B we can relax in the garden of the house while our son sleeps, which we might not want to do in a highrise hotel. But I do appreciate your response. Thanks so much and have a great day.
