Michelle73 Posted May 30, 2012 Report Posted May 30, 2012 Hi all!This is my first time posting. I am thinking about taking a last minute trip to NYC on 6/4 for 3 nights. I would prefer a 4* hotel, but 3.5* is acceptable if I can stay under $150 including taxes. The location can be flexible, but would prefer to be close to the subway and some restaurants and bars. My ideal location would be Soho and Chelsea, but not necessary. I'm traveling solo, so only need one bed and room size is not a big deal, but want my own bathroom (I would even consider The Jane if they had bathrooms LOL). Hmmm, I think that's it. Hope I'm not forgetting anything! Thank you!!Michelle
thereuare Posted May 30, 2012 Report Posted May 30, 2012 Use MAPS and HOTELS.com and see rates for 3.5* and 4* hotels in the city for the dates you're searching for.. they're extremely high at the moment and a $150 all-in bid would have a very low chance of acceptance at the moment, imo. If you'd like to try let us know exactly which zone(s) you're willing to accept (by PRICELINE name) and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow.Not sure how flexible your dates are but if you could change your dates to 6/7-6/10 (or later) i think you'll have a much better chance at success.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know if/how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. The zones I am willing to accept are Midtown East, Midtown West, Soho-Tribeca, Madison Square Garden, Central Park South. I guess I'm not really picky, but would like to be close to a subway.Thanks!
