Hi guys, after spending days on my search for a 4* or above in NY, I was not successful in getting a good deal. While browsing around tens of pages, I came across a good deal (not fantastic), at Double Tree Metropolitan (by Hilton) - they are having a 'renovation offer'. I got a 2-double bed room, for a Fri and Sat night, for $179/night, which was $30/night cheaper than the lowest mystery rate in Hotwire. Perhaps you can make bids on HOTWIRE or PRICELINE accordingly, or give you an insight that this might be your mystery hotel! Note that HOTWIRE lists this hotel as 3*.
