thereuare Posted May 30, 2012 Report Posted May 30, 2012 Welcome to BetterBidding! Please use separate threads for each leg of your trip, we will use this thread for the 6/6-6/8 leg of your stay, feel free to start a NEW TOPIC for the 6/8-6/11 leg of your trip. For 6/6-6/8 your $150 maximum bid is not likely going to be realistic based upon current prices. If you're seeing the Hilton Fashion District offered at the prices above i would grab that (especially if refundable) as that would be a very good price based upon the current rates i'm seeing (i'm also seeing a much higher ratee at the Sheraton Tribeca that what you've indicated above)Also, rates are very high for these particular dates and i would recommend expanding your acceptable zones beyond the three you've indicated above, assuming there are other nearby areas that will work for your needs.Lastly, 'Chelsea-Village' is not a PRICELINE zone, using our BiddingHelper.com, look at how this region is split up and let us know the zones, by PRICELINE name, that you're willing to accept. Do you have a back-up plan should you not succeed at $150 or less? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Folkert Posted May 30, 2012 Author Report Posted May 30, 2012 Thanks! No, I don't have a backup plan but are willing to pay $200 max (ex VAT). I will also include other zones. At what price should I start bidding?
thereuare Posted May 30, 2012 Report Posted May 30, 2012 We wouldn't want to suggest a strategy that didn't save you money vs. your other options, and our strategy will be different depending upon if the rates you quoted above are accurate... are you still seeing the Hilton at $220 and/or Sheraton at $248/nite?Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Thanks.
