jonfan Posted May 29, 2012 Report Posted May 29, 2012 So I don't think this is a great deal. But my trip is last minute, I was searching for 2 rooms and wasn't willing to search outside of Beacon Hill / Back Bay / Quincy / Waterfront / Cambridge East regions. Given all these constraints, I'm reasonably satisfied. The same hotel is $300 on Expedia. My backup reservation was at the Revere Hotel for $270.Started bidding from $160 for 4* and bid over 2 days. However, Hotwire has a 4.5* in Quincy / Financial district for $250 which would have been a better deal if I hadn't got so caught up in the bidding :)Used the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links. Thanks for a wonderful site, as always!
thereuare Posted May 29, 2012 Report Posted May 29, 2012 Congratulations on your success! Glad to see you saw some savings vs. your back-up hotel. For its size Boston doesn't have that many hotels, so even moderately sized events taking place in the city can cause a dramatic spike in hotel rates. Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding. Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
