*If the Standard Price is calculated against an actual stay between those dates then the Residence Inn by Marriott Burbank Downtown seems to be a close match price wise, however the free parking is throwing me off as the Marriott mentions a fee for parking.

Please change the currency drop down menu on the top right of HOTWIRE's page to US Dollars (and if applicable the country to United States). Then continue to search HOTWIRE and post to the board in US Dollars so that rates are consistent and not subject to interpretation due to future currency fluctuation. Once you're ready to purchase simply change the drop down menu to whatever currency you'd like to use and complete your purchase.

Once you change to US Dollars you'll see the room rate per nite.

I only get one of the two hotels that show on the uk search ?

would anyone be able to second guess the other hotel too ?

Best guess for the 3* property immediately above would be the Holiday Inn Burbank.

For the other property... are you sure this was 3* rated and in the Glendale - Burbank - Universal City zone, as HOTWIRE will only show one hotel at each star level in each in zone; or was there something you did differently on a subsequent search to have the 'other' hotel to appear?

As for the other one, yes it's definitely a 3* in the Glendale - Burbank - Universal City location.

It's a boutique hotel which I've never seen before in this area, perhaps it's a new addition ? Apparently the Hotel Amarano in Burbank is seen as a boutique hotel, 3* and has a good amenities match.

I have made a reservation directly with a hotel instead, although still a little curious as to what these hotels might have been :)
